Chapter Text IZUKU'S POVI'm walking back to the dorms all sweaty and tired. It’s kind of a routine. Everyday after diner I go for a run. I have to train hard to get better control of one for all. But I feel bad, my runs always last pretty long and that means that I leave my boyfriend alone for a long period of time. So I decided to make it up to him today. I have stopped my run early to buy him some strawberry mochi with boba. My mouth curls up by the thought of him happily enjoying the sweets. I love Shoto so much. Me and Shoto have been dating for almost 4 months now, those are the best 4 months of my life. I truly believe that he's my decided to keep it a secret tho. Shoto doesn’t want his dad to know just yet. I don't blame him, if Endeavor was my dad I would try to tell him slowly haven’t told anybody about our relationship. I haven’t even told All Might or my mom! I have thought of bringing the subject up to him. I would love to go public with it. Maybe then his fangirls will tone down a bit. I hate to admit it but I get really jealous when his people ask him out and stuff like get to the dorm building and walk straight to Shoto’s dorm. I burst into his dorm without knocking. We never knock anyways."Hey Shoto! I’m sorry for being away for so long. I decided to make it up to you..“ My voice trails off when I make eye contact with looks suprised to see me, maybe a bit too suprised. It takes me a while to realise what's going on. Even though his voice is monotone, there’s still a hint of don't respond, I can't believe this, this is not happening right now. Sero aks quietly as the situation starts to dawn on him. “Shoto?”Shoto completly ignores Sero's confusion, Instead he moves towards me. “Izuku listen.” he tries to grab before he can touch me I run away. I am not in the right mind to talk to him right now. I can't even process the situation, let alone talk about it right can still hear him yell at me. I also hear Sero’s voice but I can't make out what they’re saying. I run outside and bump into somebody right away. I look up to see the figures concerned face."Young Midoriya what happened, are you okay?"I breathe out a sigh of relieve when I realise I bumped into All my mind and body are in great need of comfort right now my mouth still betrays me.“I-I’m alright All Might.” His expression softens a bit but he still looks worried.“Are you sure my boy?” He lays his hand on my shoulder. “Yes All Might, I’m sure.” I answer him with an serious expression.“Ah, okay then.” His tone chances and he turns his back to me. “Do you mind coming with me, I got to talk to you.”A talk?The change of tone puts me off but I can't say no to All Might.“..sure”He takes me to his office, the place we always go for serious topics, topics like one for the usual question comes.“Tea?”“No. Thank you.”All Mights sits down on the couch in front of me without bothering to makes some tea for himself like he usually looks me dead in the eyes and asks me a question that has, untill now, only showed up in my nightmares.“I need you to return One For All.”..It’s awfully quiet for a long time.“I’m sorry my boy, it’s for the best. I made a mistake I wasn’t thinking clearly. You’re just a kid I shouldn’t have put this weight on your shoulders.” No.. he can't be doing this to me. Not right now. Not after all the training I've endured.\"N-no All Might, please no! You can't do this to me! I've worked so hard for this!All Might doesn't respond. He just looks at me with pity. He sighs."Young Midoriya, I need you to understand that I'm not doing this to hurt you, but I can't just sit around and do nothing while you're out there destroying your body. I don't want you to permanently damage your body for the sake of controlling this power. It's for the best."I just look at him with a blank expression. After everything I've been through, after trying to prove that I'm worthy, he's taking it away. .I did all this hard work for nothing. All those months of intensive training that I've endured, all my hard work. It was all for nothing.“All..Might..” I whisper. “You can't do this.”He looks at me with a sad expression. “Midoriya, please.”“No!” I yell “Please! You really can't! This- this quirk! It's the only thing that can make me achieve my dream!”It's silent.“Please, if you take away my quirk.. you take away my dream.”All Might sighs. “I'm sorry kid, I shouldn't have given you false hope. But I'm not doing this to hurt you. You're just not.. suitable”“It’s fine.. you can say good enough” He wouldn't be doing all of this if I had just been good mean All Might isn't even wrong. I have been destroying myself trying to control this quirk. And after all those months of training I can still only control a small precentage of the quirk.“That’s not tr-“ I cut him off. “Don't you dare say that it's not true! If it wasn't true we wouldn't be having this conversation.” my voice is filled with sadness. Tears are flooding my Might just stares at pull a hair out of my head and hand it to him without saying another I walk towards the before I leave I look over my shoulder to look at my mentor one last still sitting on the couch with the hair in his hand. His eyes slowly meet mine. “Goodbye, All Might”I close the door and start walking, then jogging, then running and eventually I’m full on I in a bad dream or something.. How did my life change so drasically in a span of an hour. One fucking hour. Wait where am I even running to?I’m not going back to the dorms I know Shoto is waiting for me. also isn’t a good place to stay wanna go home. I want my mom. I want her to comfort me like when I was a kid. When I was crying over stupid silly things like a broken toy. She would hug me and make me warm milk or tea. I would get wrapped up in a warm cozy blanket and she would tell me everything is miss her hugs, her voice. I miss her. I haven't been able to see her because I sacrificed our relationship to train the fucking quirk that I wasn't able to keep for even a few don’t even realize I arrived at my house. I ring the bell a few times until my mom finally opens the door. Her eyes widen when she sees me.“I-IZUKU?! Oh my baby what happened to you let’s get you inside!” She says as she grabs me by my arm and drags me sits me down on the couch and pulls a blanket over me. She goes to the kitchen herself. “I’ll make you some tea baby it will be quick!” Just like old snuggle into a blanket and take a deep breath. I breathe out. What am I going to do now? I don’t want to go back to it’s not like I can even go back now that I don’t have a quirk. I don’t want to face Shoto again. I don’t think I can do that without breaking down. My eyes start filling with tears again. “Izuku?” My mother’s soft voice pulls me out of my thoughts. I look up to see her worried face. She places a cup of tea in front of me.“Want to talk about it?”She sits next to me and rubs my look at her to see her softly smiling at me and suddenly the weight of everything that happened crushes me. I break down crying as I throw myself into her decide to tell her everything, from beginning to end. I even tell her about one for crying gets louder and more hysterical.“Izuku baby I need you to calm down.” I hear my mom say, but it’s faint and sounds far can only hear myself crying louder, and louder, and louder, and ouch-My throat suddenly hurts, scratch that, it's not throat is feels like it’s on fire. It hurts so bad I start coaching while smoke is escaping my mouth.“M-mom.”I manage to get out just before my throat gets hotter and little flames start coming out of my hot, I’m burning, I’M BURNING-a slap in my face gets me out of my mom looks at me concerned. She cups my face in het two crying. Good now I made my mom cry too.“I-Izuku?! Honey are you okay. Your throat was just glowing and it was looking like- like you were about to puke.. fire?”My eyes widen. Puke fire? But- that’s would mean that I have a can’t. The doctor I went to when I was little showed me that I have an extra toe joint!I take a few steps back out of shock and want about to talk. But instead of words coming out of my mouth like mom lets out a squeak of fear. It’s not a big flame but it’s still a slap my hands on my mouth. WHAT THE FUCK?!“Izuku I need you to drink some water, wait I’ll grab you some stay here!” My mom runs to the is this happening?!This day is so confusing it feels like my head is exploding. And don’t worry I’ll make sure you don’t have to go to school.” Her words calm me down a lot. Stain feared people that would want to become Heroes just so they could be popular instead of doing it because they want to help people, and Gentle is the embodiment of that fear, Gentle is everything that is wrong with this society, he is a good guy that has an inferiority complex or something and needs the approval of society, that's why he wanted to be a hero and that's why he uploads everything on youtube, Gentle is a critique not only to the MHA's society, but our own, like how everyone whants to be famous and start doing this stupid tide pod challange, or stupid pranks that could hurt someone, and so on. That's a good balance there for antagonists. i already stating how "i would glad if hori prove me wrong", but the pattenr is just like this... again, i will glad that i proven wrong, but it's hard to do so when i already got it correct soo far... i got one thing correct and the rest looks like will follow, i also starting to think that villian league will infere somehow again... i think i worded it wrong in my side, but my point is that i dislike that hori made amazing character, whith huge amount of build up, that has very significant role during it's time just for discarded it immedietly...."If taking responsibility for a mistake that cannot be undone means death, it's not that hard to die.
